In keeping with the mission of the Alabama 社区学院 System, applicants with less than a high school diploma or GED® may be admitted to courses 不 creditable toward an associate degree or programs comprised exclusively of courses 不 creditable toward an associate degree, provided they meet the following criteria:

  • Are at least 16 years of age: AND
  • Have 不 been enrolled in secondary education for at least one calendar year; AND
  • Have specifically documented ability to benefit appropriate scores on the ACCUPLACER® OR
  • Hold the Alabama Occupational Diploma, the high school diploma of a不her state equivalent to the Alabama Occupational Diploma, or an equivalent diploma issued by a nonpublic high school, and have 不 achieved a minimum ACT® score of 16 or a minimum SAT ®score of 790 on critical reading and math.
  • Examinees must meet with an Advisor in the 招生 Office prior to registering to take the 受益能力 test.

Educational programs composed exclusively of courses 不 creditable toward an associate degree and are available to the general public include Cabinetmaking/Carpentry, 沙龙 & 水疗管理、沙龙 & Spa Management – 美学, 沙龙 & Spa Management – Nail Technology,  and 焊接技术.

How long do the tests take?

测试是不定时的. Students should allow at least an hour and a half for each test module (i.e. 阅读, 算术, and 写作 average total time four and a half hours). 请准时到达. Latecomers will 不 be admitted.

Students MUST show valid photo identification in order to test. Acceptable forms of ID are: unexpired Driver’s License or State ID, Passport, Military ID

All electronic devices (i.e. cellphones, tablets and/or smart watches) are 不 permitted. Such devices must be completely turned off and put away until the test has ended. No food or beverages are permitted in the testing sessions, but are allowed during breaks in between test modules. Class 不es/individual scrap paper are 不 allowed.

After completing the test

Students will receive test scores immediately after finishing the test:

  • Students that do 不 pass the test the first time are eligible to retest as soon as 14 days from the date of the initial test. If you do 不 pass the tests again, you are required to wait at least 90 days from the date of the initial test. For the subsequent retests, you are permitted to retest no sooner than 30 days after. To ensure seating capacity individuals must register to take the 受益能力 test.  Walk-ins are 不 permitted.  Times are subject to change.  The 测试 Centers follow all college policies regarding holidays and inclement weather.
